Initiatives Released by Democratic Directors

On the week of January 1st, the our Democratic Directors placed several resolutions on the January agenda for the Board of Directors. These initiatives are aimed at addressing quality of life issues in the Town of Manchester, and the four can be found in their entirety by clicking on the below links.

• Prohibit smoking within 50 feet of the entrances and exits of Mary Cheney and Whiton Libraries
• Study new recruiting and hiring incentives for police officers
• Investigate the feasibility of implementing a deferred retirement option ("DROP" program) for police officers
• Create a task force to implement Manchester's Platform for Strengthening Families and improving outcomes for Manchester's children and youth
